2. Rental price: the difference on a real trip

The Honda Click 160 is cheaper on every rental length. On a short 3-day trip the Click 160 comes to ฿960 in total, compared with ฿1,050 for the PCX 160. For 7 days it's ฿1,750 versus ฿1,960.

Staying a whole month? The monthly prices are ฿5,500 and ฿8,050, with deposits of ฿3,000 and ฿5,000 respectively. See every model's price on our prices and terms page.

3. Comfort and riding two-up

The Honda PCX 160 is designed as a touring scooter. The seat is wide and long so a passenger sits comfortably, and the rider can stretch their legs out on the footboard — ideal for taking in several viewpoints and beaches in one day.

The Click 160 is smaller and lighter, so U-turns, parking in narrow lanes and riding around Phuket Town and Patong are easier. If you mostly ride alone, it will feel more nimble than the PCX.

4. ABS and safety in the rainy season

Phuket's roads get slippery in the rainy season, especially on downhill stretches. ABS reduces the chance of the wheels locking when you brake hard. Our PCX 160s are the ABS version. If you like the size of the Click but want ABS, choose the Click 160 ABS, at ฿250/day on rentals of 7 days or more.

Whichever model you choose, every bike comes with two helmets, and the law requires both rider and passenger to wear one.

5. Storage and everyday practicality

The PCX 160's under-seat storage is clearly larger than the Click 160's according to the manufacturer's specs (see the table above), with plenty of room for a helmet, a towel or your market shopping. The PCX also has a bigger fuel tank, so you stop for fuel less often on long days.

Frequently asked questions

Do the Click 160 and PCX 160 have different engines?

Both use a 160cc engine with the same displacement according to the manufacturer's specs. The main differences are the body, riding position, fuel tank size and storage space.

How much more does a 7-day rental of the PCX 160 cost than the Click 160?

Seven days on a Click 160 comes to ฿1,750 in total, while a PCX 160 comes to ฿1,960.

Which one is more comfortable for two people?

The PCX 160 is more comfortable two-up: the seat is longer and the rider can place their feet in several positions, which suits full-day trips around the island.

Which one has ABS?

Our PCX 160s are the ABS version. The Click 160 comes as a standard model or as the Click 160 ABS, and the Click 160 ABS costs ฿250/day on rentals of 7 days or more.

I'm on the shorter side — which one should I pick?

Both have a similar seat height (see the spec table in this article). The PCX 160's seat is slightly lower, but the bike is wider and heavier. If you're not sure, start with the lighter Click 160.

Can I fit a bag or a helmet under the seat?

The PCX 160 has much more under-seat storage, so a full-face helmet or a small bag fits far more easily than on the Click 160.

Is renting for just 1 day worth it?

You can rent for a single day, but the 1–2 day rate is the most expensive per day (Click 160 ฿350/day, PCX 160 ฿450/day). If you're staying longer, rent for 3 days or more and delivery is free too.

What kind of licence do I need?

You need a motorcycle licence, or an International Driving Permit (IDP) that includes the motorcycle category, plus your passport. Both models need the same licence category.
